POWER OF LOVE & LOVE OF POWER

 Abimbolu Ogunbanwo
Copied:
The WEAK AND INCOMPETENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN
- He was weak because he embraced the "POWER OF LOVE" over the "LOVE OF POWER"
I have NEVER seen a man so insulted in his life YET so loved. 2 years gone and the North has called him names, the South West has called him names; the South East has called him names even his brothers have bashed him, YET he remains the light that was at the end of a very dark tunnel. I have never seen a leader who preferred the "POWER OF LOVE" to the "LOVE OF POWER". I have never seen a calmer and humble man like this "weak" JONATHAN. Like David tending to his flocks in the bush, GEJ was tending to students in the classroom and then he was approached to get his 2 passports. Grace had found him as he was picked to become a deputy governor without a godfather or political background or friends. From there is history........
............. The weak and incompetent man climbed to the number one spot even in the midst of STRONG AND COMPETENT MEN.
SOME OF HIS QUOTES REALLY SHOWED HOW WEAK HE WAS.
1) Only a weak man will say "My political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian" strong men will say "When I lose the election, the dogs and baboons will be soaked in their blood".
2) Only a weak man after being insulted by other regions will say "We are not sworn enemies… We are neighbours who sometimes offend each other, but can always sit down to talk over our differences". Strong men will send crocodile tears, and python dance to the regions to kill innocent people.
3) GEJ was weak, only a weak man would say "Nobody should rig for me. I am assuring Nigerians that though I am contesting, nobody must manipulate votes in my favour. Our votes must count, one man one vote, one woman one vote, one youth, one vote" Strong men just write results in Aso Rock and damn the consequences.
4) Only a weak man would make a call after he has lost an election that was manipulated just to save millions of lives and he said "It was an election and not a war, there was no winner and no loser, we all want a better country". Strong men after they have lost will order their supporters to kill corpers and even the pregnant corpers and take out the babies.
5) He was so weak he said and meant this "I am loyal to Nigeria’s economy. I don’t have accounts or property abroad. All my children live and school in Nigeria". Strong men have their Children live and school in UK all their lives insulting GEJ and instigating anarchy in a country they and their families are not living.
6) WEAK men own up to challenges but still say "We may not have overcome our challenges, but neither have our challenges overcome us". Strong men when faced with challenges just BLAME GEJ.
7) Weak men preach peace because they are weak "Our founding fathers… did not dream of a country where neighbours and friends would exchange bullets in place of handshakes". Strong men say is either this or WE DIE, while their children and wife are in far away UK. Strong men say it's BLOOD for BLOOD.
8) A weak man will unite all tribes together as one. But a strong man will bring about division among tribes as we can testify the statement "onstituencies that gave me 97% can not in all honesty be treated, on some issues, with constituencies that gave me 5%".
9) Only a weak man would leave Aso rock healthy with his wife and family. We all know what happened to the strong men before and after him.
I can go on and one to prove GEJ was a "weak man". But lastly only a weak man can say this "I prefer to see the silver lining in the dark cloud rather than the dark cloud in the silver lining". This is why he never answers them; he sees the silver lining in the insults and they only make him stronger. 3 years gone, and he has loved ones that would stand by him.
MAY GEJ LIVE LONG AND MAY GOD GRANT HIM THE GRACE NEVER TO CHANGE FROM BEING WEAK TO BEING "STRONG". AGAIN ONLY A WEAK PRESIDENT CAN UNITE NIGERIA THE WAY HE DID. 2 YEARS GONE AND A STRONG AND COMPETENT MAN HAS TORN NIGERIA APART. INDEED THERE LIES GREAT UNTOLD STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS AND GEJ PROVES THAT.
IF EVERYONE LEAVES THIS MAN, I WILL BE THE LAST PERSON TO INSULT HIM; HE IS MY WEAK HERO.

THE YORUBA RESPONSE TO FULANI MENACE

BEING THE RESOLUTIONS ARRIVED AT FROM THE EMERGENCY YORUBA FARMERS SUMMIT HELD ON THURSDAY 15TH FEBRUARY, 2018 AT THE HOUSE OF CHIEFS, PARLIAMENT BUILDING, SECRETARIAT, IBADAN UNDER THE AUSPICES OF OODUA REDEMPTION ALLIANCE

Theme: JUST BEFORE THE FULANIS FINISH US!

1. That we are conscious of the character trait of the Fulanis that they conquer people, occupy their lands and rule over the land.
2. That this led to their conquest, domination and rule over the entire Hausa land till today.
3. That we have the memory, to the external shame of us Yorubas anyway, how the Fulanis tricked the Ilorin Yorubas into capturing their land over which they rule till today.
4. That we are conscious of their further incursion efforts into the entire Yoruba land which led to the Osogbo war of 1840 between the Fulanis and the Ibadan warlords who decisively routed them thus stopping their further incursion.
5. That we are aware of their ceaseless plots and strategy to still capture Yoruba land in fulfillment of the will of their forebear Uthman Dan Fodio whose design was that the conquest of the Yorubas would only stop at the ocean in Lagos where their blood-stained swords would be washed.
6. That we are conscious of the highest degree of harms the Fulani herdsmen have done to our farmers over the decades where their cattle destroy their farm crops at will, where they rape their wives and children and kill anybody who dares their will with impurity.
7. That the resurgence or large scale perpetration of the evil has now gotten to an uncontrollable and unacceptable level that an open confrontation or war has now been provoked between the Yorubas and the Fulanis.
8. That before the war is ignited, we have deemed it fit to call this summit where we shall discuss and make our grouse and positions known to the Nigerian government and the global community to the effect of our further intolerance of the menace on our racial pride.
9. That, therefore, the idea of the Federal Government contemplating at all in the first instance to establish colonies or grazing reserves for the Fulanis is a direct ploy to take Nigerians’ lands for the Fulanis, and this is absolutely unaccepted to the Yorubas.
10. That the basis for giving preferential or sacred cow treatment to the Fulani herdsmen whose business contribute no resources whatsoever to the coffers of Nigerian government is not there at all.
11. That it is on record that 95% of the resources sustaining Nigerian government comes from the Southern part of the country.
12. That the cattle business of the Fulani herdsmen is their personal affair which other people of the country must not be sacrificed for.
13. That we are taking this opportunity to appreciate and declare as heroes the Governor of Kano State Mallam Abdullahi Ganduje and his Niger State counterpart Alh. Abubakar Sani Bello for gratuitously offering to allocate mass of lands respectively such sufficient enough as to harbor all the Fulani herdsmen in the country for the grazing of their cattle.
14. That consequent upon this, we implore the Federal Government to appreciate these gestures and seize the opportunity by the forelock and so direct all Fulani herdsmen in the country to relocate to Kano and Niger States respectively.
15. That we hereby implore the rest of the Northern Governors to emulate these two heroes.
16. That failure to accept these offers, any further incidents of farm destruction or attack on any person of Yoruba extraction in any Yoruba parts of Nigeria covering Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Kwara, Kogi, Edo and Delta States would be given commensurate reprisals.
17. That essentially speaking, we implore all Fulani herdsmen to vacate Yoruba land with immediate effect and relocate to Kano and Niger States or their Northern States of conquest.
18. That we are conscious of the fact that a lot of our well-to-do people in Yoruba land also have their cattle breeding contracted to the Fulani herdsmen.
19. That we therefore implore all Yorubas in this category to withdraw their cattle with immediate effect and establish ranches, pens or byres for their cattle breeding.
20. That we take this opportunity to implore our well-to-do people to begin cattle breeding enterprises in a very conventional way.
21. That we implore all our states to establish cattle-breeding settlements for the beef consumption of our people without having to depend on the Fulanis’ cattle, after all, cattle-breeding is not a monopoly for the Fulanis alone.
22. That we are conscious of the fact that some of our traditional rulers in Yoruba land like Obas, Baales and Community leaders encourage the encroachment of the Fulani herdsmen into our lands by giving them titles like Jowuro, Seriki and Baranda. All traditional or community leaders in this category are implored to retract such titles.
23.  That we emphasize that our traditional or community leaders should desist from mortgaging our land and the lives of our people to the Fulanis the way they did in the era of slave-trading.
24. That we take this opportunity to declare Mr. Ayodele Fayose the Ekiti State Governor as a hero of Yoruba land for being the only Yoruba governor who took the bull by the horns by legislating against the menace of the Fulanis in his State.
25. That we therefore implore all other Yoruba governors to be courageous enough as to follow suit.
26. That we are conscious that our law enforcement agents and military men have now started falling victims of the Fulani herdsmen’s menace.
27. That we therefore implore them not to be kowtowed by any compromise against their people but rather join us in the battle against the crudity and baseless murders of the people and destruction of farm lands.
28. That we commiserate with Governor Sam Otom and the people of Benue State on the recent evil perpetrated against their kinsmen.
29. That we also commiserate with all Yorubas’ relations who have fallen victims of the Fulani’s menace over the decades and most recently.
30. That we share our feelings with Chief Olu Falae and Admiral Samuel Afolayan a former Chief of Naval Staff of Nigeria over the wanton and massive destruction of their respective farmlands by the Fulani herdsmen.
31. That a standing committee of representatives from each state shall be established to ensure the implementation of the resolutions so arrived at.

Boko Haram: “I am tired of this calamity,” Shekau says in new video

The Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has said in a new video that he is tired of the calamity befalling his group.

“I am tired of this calamity; it is better I die and go to rest in paradise”, he said at the end of the 10-minute video. In the video, delivered chiefly in Hausa, Mr. Shekau couldn’t hide his frustration on the continued hostility and loss of his supporters to government troops. With a broken voice that clearly betrayed his emotion, Mr. Shekau pleaded with his non-combatant members across Nigeria to pick up arms and help him fight till he drops dead. The terror group’s leader, however, remained defiant.Flanked by two hooded armed men, Mr. Shekau said the latest claim by the military that the group had been sent packing from Sambisa forest was false. He boasted that he is still in Sambisa forestand still controls the territory. He said that his men would continue to fight regardless of the recent induction of Cameroonian soldiers into the Operation Lafiya Dole counter insurgency force.
Below is the full text of the translated speech by the Boko Haram leader.
“I have no lengthy message to deliver except on the issue of worshiping God alone and serving Him without getting tired.Ours in not like that of the unbelievers whose worship is like the spider web. Just like one of the leaders of unbelievers, who is like an ape, was recently boasting that they have formed a joint force with Cameroonian forces to fight us.“That they would not only chase us from Sambisa forest but also in all parts of Nigeria. So we too have declared that we donot want to see any Nigerian in Cameroon, in Chad, in Nigeria and even Benin Republic. So I call on our brethren in Abuja, in Lagos, in Benin, in Kaduna, where ever you find anyNigerian make sure you shoot him dead if he is deliberately against us; but if he is ignorant of our ways, teach him on how to understand our ways. This is our first message.“It is not about approaching you, because that has already been done by our God.

“Our second message is to attack anyone who pledge to Nigerian his country, to be faithful, loyal and honest, and serve Nigeria.Anyone who believes in protecting the interest of Nigeria is our target. The one whose creed is to develop western education where infidels are trained is our enemy. Whoever that stands on any creed other than that of our Prophet Muhammad brought to us; the one that his great disciples followed, should know that he is our avowed enemy and if he confronts us we will fight him.“In this job that we embarked upon, we are not going to boast too much about, but we pray that God should take our lives while onthis struggle and not on any other thing else. May God help us on this belief.“So you Nigerians especially the youth vigilante, we are going to fight you and that thing that drives you to pick up arms against us; we don’t care what they call you,be it Civilian-JTF or any kind of force. Just as you said you don’t want us on the face of Nigeria, so shall we too declare you persona non grata in Sambisa. Let anyone who has brains to think to avoid moving around Sambisa forest. Those of you the leaders of the troops will no longer have peace just like the way you think you have made here uncomfortable for us.“And you General Rogers that is currently leading the troops and boasting that that you have take-over Sambisa and have rescued some women, why have you not rescued the police women that we abducted? You liar, why couldn’t you rescue them? You are busy deceiving with images of vehicles that we seized from you and abandoned for over three years and claiming that you have killed us. If you have killed us, why are we still alive?“Oh you brethren of our holy creed, wherever you are, should rise up and fight for Allah. If you cannot do it there, then come over to our side and fight for the cause of Allah. You must know that whoever that fails to follow the teaching of the Holy Quran and Hadith cannot enter paradise. (In broken voice) Because the pattern of life in the world today is not Islamic. Wherever you are, even if you are in Saudi Arabia, and you have your gun, please stand up and fight, kill whoever you see that is not on our side.Kidnap and bring them to us. Our course is to establish our caliphate and die doing that.We may not be alive to see the caliphate but even if it comes to be after we have died, it is still a bonus on our side.“This is the message I have for you all. My name is Abubakar Shekau, the one that is an invincible enemy that you are fighting.“That is our stand. I am tired of this calamity; it is better I die and go to rest in paradise.”

FULANI HERDSMEN: FINALLY, THE GLOVES ARE OFF!

FULANI HERDSMEN: FINALLY, THE GLOVES ARE OFF!

So yesterday, Governor Samuel Ortom went on a Live Radio show and finally told his kinsmen, "DEFEND YOURSELVES"!

If you're a student of history and a keen observer of what's been happening in Nigeria lately, you'll see the bold handwriting on the wall. NIGERIA IS OFFICIALLY A FAILED STATE BY VIRTUALLY EVERY STANDARD. Let me explain.

So, only about two months ago, the Lord said, "Raise me an Army of Secondary Celibates"...and He said, "if i have this army raised, i will humiliate the stubborn and wicked kings of Nigeria, i will make them eat the dust of the earth and the grasses of the field"-  #OperationNebuchadnezzar  .And he also said, "I will overturn their kingdom - turn it upside down". And God said, "watch, i will begin with them in January!" So fast forward to late January/ Early February.

Late January, Olusegun Obasanjo wrote a letter to President Buhari, urging him not to re-contest in 2019. Obviously, that generated a lot of buzz and still reverberates till this day. But that was not all. Obasanjo has gone ahead to set up a "political movement"...they don't call it a political party, it's a "movement"! According to baba, this movement will save Nigerians from Buhari's misrule. Shortly after Obasanjo's letter, El Rufai quickly came out with recommendations for restructuring after arrogantly dismissing its importance. Former SGF Babachir is arrested to show that the corruption fight is effective, etc. Too many frantic moves to win Nigerians over and turn them away from Obasanjo's "distractions". It didn't work!

The Arewa youths suddenly declared that they are searching for Buhari's replacement in a recent press release. Guess who signed that press release? The same Yerima guy who gave the Igbos QUIT NOTICE from the North.

While we were still trying to make sense of it all, Ibrahim Babangida's letter surfaced. Babangida's letter was like the nail on the casket. All of a sudden, there was a weird rebuttal, claiming IBB didn't author the first. Unfortunately, in a bid to sign IBB's name under the so called rebuttal, they appended "GCON" to his name. IBB is not "GCON". He is honored with GCFR. While all these were going on, IBB's media aide suddenly took to the media to clear the air. He made it clear that the Press release he published on behalf of his principal, IBB was perfectly in order and that mischief makers were behind the so called rebuttal. Talk about touching the lion's tail.

Obviously, whoever it was that authored the rebuttal didn't like that very much. So, shortly after clearing the air, the young man, Kazeem Afegbua was declared wanted. And now, he's suing the Nigerian police for declaring him wanted on TV without proper or prior invitation. He claims that he's being declared wanted even when his principal, Ibrahim Babangida had not come out to renounce the press release he authored on IBB's behalf.

WHY DID I TAKE YOU THROUGH ALL THE DRAMA?

Listen, the die is cast! The APC government in Nigeria now knows that there are two fates awaiting them almost imminently with respect to 2019: It's either there is no 2019 OR they will never be allowed to smell it!  This is no joke. It's a reality that no living being can wish away. The storm is gathering and it's becoming clearer by the day that APC will barely finish their first term in office!.

So what next? Let me explain again...with this potential FATE hanging over the wearied neck of APC, DESPERATION will increase. If they are not suppressing opinions because God has raised elephants like them to fight them, they will ensure the country stays as farther away from peace as possible to ensure there is no room for changing guards. In the end, their destiny will still be spelt out in capital letters: L O S S

With Benue now as the long awaited trigger for Middle Belt's divorce from the century old Northern union, tell me what's left. This is why we all have to be extremely careful, watchful, and prayerful...because the herdsmen will do their Maths and see that their plan is heavily threatened now and they will descend into the "I've got nothing to loose" state of mind and unleash something worst than hell on Nigerians. Watch out! It's unfolding but God will keep His own. He has said it - "these people will go down in SHAME!" And He will perfect it. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" - 1 Peter 5:8. Shalom!

How Buhari helped Fulani herdsmen ‘graduate’ from killing farmers to NNPC staff – Omokri

In a swift reaction to Fulani herdsmen's attack on staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), at Tse Torkula area of Benue State, former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Wednesday, attacked the presidency.

The former aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, said the herdsmen had “graduated” from attacking and killing farmers to NNPC staff because President Muhammadu Buhari had treated their situation with “kid glove.”

Taking to his verified Twitter handle, the California-based Pastor wondered who the herdsmen would kill next.

Omokri wrote: “Due to the kid glove treatment President Buhari has given to Fulani herdsmen, they have now graduated from attacking farmers.

“Just like their colleagues in Boko Haram, they now attack and kill NNPC officials. I wonder who‘ll be next in the killing spree of killer Fulani herdsmen?”

Recall that armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen had yesterday killed an official of NNPC at Tse Torkula, Benue State. The deceased was working on the petroleum pipeline with his colleagues in the area.

Former President Obasanjo rubbishes Buhari on lack of educational qualification to rule Nigeria

 PARIS, FEBRUARY 07, 2018: (DGW)

FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo  again rubbishes President Buhari on educational qualification to lead Nigeria. In what is a clear case of ridiculing Buhari, the former President who recently bagged a Doctorate degree said many of the country’s leaders lack basic economic skills which is one of the reasons why Nigeria has not made any progress. He made the disclosure on Tuesday at the 15th annual leadership symposium organised by the Center for Values in Leadership (CVL) in Lagos, Nigeria. The former President who was the special guest of honour said: “The three ingredients of success are leadership, governance and development. Leaders should understand the world we live in; they should not live their lives in ignorance of what is happening around them. “Any leader that wants to be successful must have a good knowledge of the economy but some of our leaders do not even understand what demand and supply, which is the most basic aspect of economics. In Nigeria, we are not there yet, but, we would be deceiving ourselves if we do not speak home truths. “What are these home truths? The first is that diversity must be acknowledged and be appreciated. We should make diversity an asset and not a liability. “The second is infrastructure and the basis of our development must be adequate provision of infrastructure. We should also be able to transition peacefully from one government to the other or one party to the other. We must transition to a popular movement and give the people the feeling that power is in their hands,”

On the ongoing insecurity ravaging the country particularly the killings being carried out by Fulani herdsmen, Obasanjo said ''security issues should not be emotional and, in any decision taken towards security, the changing times must be considered.'' “You cannot use the security methods that were used in the colonial times and assume that it would be effective in the 21st century. Adapt modern security techniques and don’t say that it is not your culture. Culture is dynamic. It changes. When we ordered motorcycle riders to ensure they wear crash helmets for safety, the late Abubakar Rimi objected and said it was not their culture in the North to wear helmets.'' ''I responded by telling him that riding a motorcycle is not their culture, either; it is a western culture. And, I also told him that if he wants to retain the cultural means of transportation in the North, then, everybody should be riding a donkey or a camel because motorcycles were invented by the West.
